I see purple . . . all around me I see purple . . . all around me Grape juice dribbling down my chin Thunder clouds a-rolling in Wandering through the lilac trees They smell so sweet they make me sneeze – Achoo! Eggplants have a purple skin Like the bruise I’ve got on my shin Riding on my mountain bike I saw a purple monster. Yikes! The monster was sitting all alone Wearing violet robes and amethyst stones Orchids braided in its hair I crashed my bike and sat and stared Monster saw me and said, “Hello Can you tell me where the lilacs grow?” I pointed and it walked away What a crazy purple day

Gator Hunt 03:58
Going on a gator hunt Gonna catch a big one I’m not scared Long tail Rough scales And a mouth full of big, sharp teeth Uh oh! . . . a pond . . . a slimy, grimy pond Can’t go over it Can’t go under it Can’t go around it I guess we’ll have to swim Uh oh! . . . a forest . . . a wrangly, tangly forest Can’t go over it Can’t go under it Can’t go around it I guess we’ll have to climb through Uh oh! . . . a swamp . . . an icky, stinky swamp Can’t go over it Can’t go under it Can’t go around it I guess we’ll have to walk through Uh oh! . . . Long tail . . . Rough scales . . . And sharp teeth . . . It . . . must . . . be . . . an . . . ALLIGATOR! Quick! Out of the swamp Through the forest Through the pond There’s your driveway Open the door Close it! Lock it! Whew! See ya later alligator! In a while crocodile.

If I had the wings of a butterfly Out to the meadow I’d fly Sipping the nectar from wildflowers Watching the sun go by If I had the legs of a bullfrog Out to the swamp I would jump Munching on blackflies and skeeters Right from my favourite stump If I had the jaws of an alligator Under the waters I’d lurk Watching for unsuspecting creatures Then I’d snap and I’d snarl and I’d smirk Chorus With an Ooh la la, Ooh la la, Ooh la Ooh la la, Ooh la la lee. Whee- hee! Ooh la la, Ooh la la, Ooh la The swamp is the place for me If I had the trunk of an elephant Cross the savannah I’d roam Looking for mud baths and waterholes Until it’s time to go home If I had the arms of a monkey Up through the jungle I’d climb Munching on bugs and bananas Swinging through branches and vines Chorus . . . The jungle’s the place for me If I had the wings of a dragon Over the mountains I’d soar Burning down forests and villages With a fiery shriek and a roar And if I had the paws of a kitty cat Out in the backyard I’d play Sneaking and pouncing on butterflies Until the end of the day Chorus . . . The backyard’s the place for me

The little tree frog said, “Red, red Red, red. Red, red.” The little tree frog said, “Red, red What is the colour red?” If your body is covered in red itchy spots You’ve got the chicken pox, probably the chicken pox And chickens have to watch out for the hungry fox ‘Cause it’s time for lunch We all have to stop when we see the colour red At a traffic light, in the day or night You know the stove is hot when it glows red and bright So keep your hands away Red is the colour of ripe tomatoes Santa’s cherry nose, or a red rose A ladybug’s shell or apples in a bowl And don’t forget that fox The little tree frog said, “Red, red Red, red. Red, red.” The little tree frog said, “Red, red That is the colour red!

I's the B'y 01:53
I’s the b’y that builds the boat And I’s the b’y that sails her I’s the b’y that catches the fish And brings ‘em home to Lizer CHORUS Hip yer partner, Sally Thibault Hip yer partner, Sally Brown Fogo, Twillingate, Moreton’s Harbour All around the circle Sods and rinds to cover your flake Cake and tea for supper Codfish in the spring o’ the year Fried in maggotty butter I don’t want your maggoty fish That’s no good for winter I could buy as good as that Down in Bonavista I took Lizer to a dance And faith, but she could travel Every step that she did take Was up to her knees in gravel I’s the b’y that builds the boat And I’s the b’y that sails her I’s the b’y that catches the fish And brings ‘em home to Lizer

Blue is the colour of the sea Blue is the colour of the sea There is blue, there is blue Blue all around us can’t you see There’s a big blue whale blowing bubbles in the sea There is blue .... There’s a bluebird on the back of the whale bubbles in the sea There is blue ... There’s a berry in the beak of the bird on the back of the whale blowing bubbles in the sea There is blue ... There’s a bright blue bug on the berry in the beak of the bird on the back of the whale blowing bubbles in the sea There is blue ... There’s a tear in the eye of the bug on the berry in the beak of the bird on the back of the whale blowing bubbles in the sea Feeling blue . . . oh so blue . . . I wonder what that poor bug’s gonna do?

I woke up in the morning, headed out on my own It was time to leave that old pigsty and build myself a home Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie Built the floors Built the doors From top to bottom the entire house Was made of straw My brother came to visit, he said he couldn’t stay He didn’t think much of my house of straw he had a better way Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie Built the chairs Built the stairs From top to bottom the entire house Was made of sticks My little sister’s happening, this piglet’s outa sight And when she built her house you know she did it right Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie Built the walls Built the halls From top to bottom the entire house Was made of bricks She said that we were welcome To visit any time Day or night, dark or bright Weather rain or shine There I was back in the kitchen just a-sipping on some tea When the Big Bad Wolf came knockin’ and a-loookin’ out for me Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie Well he huffed And he puffed With a ravenous and salivating grin He blew the house in! So I hurried to my brother’s. That wolf he wanted in We said “Not by the hairs of our chin chin chinny chin!” Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie He huffed And he puffed With a ravenous and salivating frown He blew the house down We hustled to our sister’s. That wolf wanted in We said “Not by the hairs of our chin chin chinny chin!” Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie He huffed And he puffed Even though that big bad wolf gave his all The house stood tall The wolf jumped down the chimney He landed in the pot The fire was a-burning And the soup was boiling hot Hah woooooo !! (howling) With his tail between his legs that poor old wolf scampered home And you can bet that from now on he’s gonna leave these pigs alone Shoobie, shoobie Howlie, howlie We danced A little jig And that’s the story of the Big Bad Wolf And the Three Little Pigs That’s the story of the Big Bad Wolf & the Three Little Pigs!

Old Mr. Johnson had a ginger cat Who clawed up the chairs and his favourite hat Nothing in the house was safe from harm So he gave the cat away to a neighbouring farm Chorus But the cat came back the very next day The cat came back. They thought he was a goner But the cat came back. He just couldn’t stay away He put the cat outside on a blizzardy night The wind was howling. What a shivery sight Never before had they seen such a storm The cat dug a hole beneath the shed to keep warm He gave it to a fisherman who promised he would take The cat on a tour of the bottom of the lake A scuffle on the boat made a curious sound When all was said and done it was the fisherman who drowned He put it on a train on the eastbound tracks He sent it to his sister in Halifax The engine jumped the tracks as it rounded a bend The locomotive met a twisted mangled fiery end One day that cat had kittens too When a giant tornado came twisting through The house was torn to pieces. The cat flew all about The air was full of kittens! A cat-astrophe no doubt
